The White Flint (Pike District?) area will again have a Gap store, as the ubiquitous clothing chain has joined the growing number of retail tenants at Pike & Rose. I'd heard about this more than a month ago, but Federal Realty is now publicly confirming the addition.
Gap is an interesting choice, as it definitely signals a broader target retail audience for Pike & Rose than the higher-end boutiques of Bethesda Row, another Federal Realty development. And, of course, it fills the current Gap vacuum in that market, with the closure of the White Flint location.
