ELM ST. DUNKIN' DONUTS SHOOTING FOR NOVEMBER 13 OPENING IN BETHESDA (PHOTOS)

Downtown Bethesda's newest Dunkin' Donuts was looking nearly ready to open yesterday at the Shoppes of Bethesda on Elm Street. Boris Lander, head of the local Dunkin' Donuts franchise group confirmed that the store is now scheduled for a November 13 opening, if all goes as planned.

If you remember how quickly the other downtown Bethesda locations of Dunkin' Donuts were constructed, you won't be surprised by the progress at their newest Elm Street location across from Bethesda Row. But will it still open on October 28? They work fast, but that might be a stretch. Opening day can't be that far off, though.

The newest Dunkin' Donuts store in downtown Bethesda is being constructed in the former Galaxie Cleaners space in the Shoppes of Bethesda on Elm Street. They're hoping to open October 28, if all goes according to plan.

Could the new Elm Street Dunkin' Donuts store open up in time to sell Pumpkin Creme Brûlée Lattes and Halloween Pumpkin Donuts? A spokesperson for the franchisee said possibly so yesterday, with a target opening date of October 28. The store opening will once again give downtown Bethesda the enviable bounty of 3 DD locations, and replaces the one that closed on Bethesda Avenue earlier this summer.

DUNKIN' DONUTS POSTS COMING SOON SIGN ON ELM ST. IN BETHESDA (PHOTOS)

Dunkin' Donuts has posted a Coming Soon banner at its future space on Elm Street in Bethesda. That space's former tenant, Galaxie Cleaners, is moving around the block to Hampden Lane to the Shoppes of Bethesda.

GALAXIE CLEANERS TO MOVE TO NEW SPACE WITHIN SHOPPES OF BETHESDA (PHOTOS)

Galaxie Cleaners will move from its current location at 4943 Elm Street, to a space upstairs at the same shopping center, The Shoppes of Bethesda, on August 15. The move will likely facilitate the eventual takeover of their space by Dunkin' Donuts, which plans to reopen this fall on Elm Street. Rumor has been that the dry cleaners could be the site of the new donut shop.
